Quarter 3, Week 7- Tone, Mood, Technique & Purpose
--------------------------------------------
-What is Tone?-
-"Tone in writing refers to the writer's attitude toward the reader and the subject of the message. The overall tone of a written message affects the reader just as one's tone of voice affects the listener in everyday exchanges"
--------------------------------------------
Purpose is the goal or aim of a piece of writing: to express oneself, to provide information, to persuade, or to create a literary work. There are four purposes writers use for writing.
1.To Inform - advise, apprise, brief, caution, educate, instruct, notify, tell, update, warn, acquaint, betray, blab, clue, edify, endow, endue, enlighten, familiarize, forewarn.
2.To Persuade - to move by argument, entreaty, or expostulation to a belief, position, or course of action
3.To Entertain - Entertain is defined as to make hold the attention of someone and give them fun, to have someone over as a guest, or to think about something.
